Former Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana Building Will be New Headquarters for Branltey Services

Louisville, KY (April 2, 2005) The former Girl Scouts building, located at 1325 South Fourth Street in Louisville, Kentucky, has a new owner. Brantley Services, a company based in Louisville for 75 years will move its headquarters to the Fourth Street location on December 1 according to Jeremy Curran, President and CEO of Brantley Services. Brantley began operations in Louisville in the 1930s as a security company. Since then, it has expanded to offer additional services in event management, business improvement districts and custodial maintenance.

Brantley Services moved to their current location at 2429 Crittenden Drive in March of 2003. During that time, Brantley Services has encountered explosive growth in all four of their divisions: Brantley Security, Block by Block, Event Management and Clean Image Custodial. Curran attributes this successful growth to his company’s philosophy of providing excellent customer service and a management style of “treating our employees as we would like to be treated.”

Curran said, “We wanted to be close to downtown and still provide parking for our employees and visitors. This location provides all of that and more.” Mr. Curran added that being across the street from Central Park was an extra bonus.

Mr. Curran said that the company plans to make a number of improvements to the building before moving in. He stated that this sale, which closed on August 1, 2005, is a “win-win-win situation” for the Girl Scouts, the neighborhood and Brantley Services.
